Post Installation Checklist

Initial Checks

  • Verify all fans operate correctly
  • Check heater and thermistor functionality
  • Confirm Beacon auto-calibrate works correctly and sets a good zero (below)
  • Test extruder motor operation is in correct direction

Beacon Calibration

  1. Perform initial Beacon setup
  2. Run multiple probe accuracy tests
  3. Verify standard deviation is below 0.020mm
  4. Generate and save mesh
  5. Test Z-offset consistency

Print Settings Calibration

  1. Perform PID tuning
  2.  Retraction (recommended setting is nozzle diameter)
  3. Run test prints at increasing speeds

Performance Verification

  • Test print at various speeds and filaments
  • Verify print quality at high speeds
  • Check for any signs of heat creep
